I found this piece while browsing online and did not understand the message at first but when I started reading other viewers opinions I found one that I agree with. The viewer said that "the heavy black canon ball represents the undeniable weight of the real while the painting represents our desire for more pleasing representations of the world filled with color and light". it's amusing to see what different people take from a piece of artwork and how they interpret it. It reminds me of a song that has vague lyrics that people can take and apply to their own circumstance to find meaning.
