Watching these youtube videos really makes me want to get back into sketching to see how good I might be able to become. I will probably never be as good as this artist though. Enjoy!

Diorama
My diorama was dedicated to college football and the need for a college football playoff. It was a fun way to get creative and explore an issue and learn more about it. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it on my phone (thought I did) so I will have to post the picture tomorrow.
Public Art

There are many examples of public art as evidenced in my google search results but I decided to go with a monument. I had seen pictures of this before but never knew anything about it. The Cristo-Rei (Christ the King) in Almada, Portugal is one of the tallest monuments in the World. It was built designed and built in 1940, as a plea to God to release Portugal from entering World War II.
Cool Architecture
Interview with an artist.

I was only able to catch up with an artist who is not yet famous but hopes to be someday. She has some formal art training and has always had a natural talent for it. Her name is Sara and she was in a hurry but I was able to get a few questions in.
Me: So how did you get interested in art?
Sara: I loved arts and crafts since I was a wee kid. People around me recognized my interest in it and encouraged my parents to help me realize my potential.
Me: So you were a natural huh? How did you end up choosing your specialty?
Sara: Well I was always best at sketching and conveniently, I enjoyed it the most too!
Me: Any idea how many pictures you have drawn?(I know stupid question, but I'm no Larry King)
Sara: Oh I can't even imagine.. must be thousands.
We wrapped it up after that but it was cool to see how excited she was about her passion.
Youtube art
Art can be made in so many ways with so many things. This talented artist uses sand to express himself.
Catharsis

Earlier today I had a catharsis. I was under a lot of stress because finals are coming up and I have to get A's to get the hope back...and money is tight! After a car ride with a close friend I felt much better. I was able to vent my frustration through talking to him about it and also through singing along with one of my favorite rock songs at the top of my lungs. I'm feeling much better for now.
